Completely unrelated, but I have a question for you. What should I be expecting for monthly lease payments on a $28,000ish 2010ish CTS Wagon with 70,000ish km. Also, what are typical annual milage allowances?
![]() 02/04/2014 at 11:35 |

Haha ok, it also seems you cannot spread your legs awkwardly.
![]() 02/04/2014 at 11:40 |

Wait you want to "lease" a 2010 CTS wagon? If so I can't really answer that but what I can say is normally leases on used cars are typically terrible and you are better off buying the damn thing. Why would you want to lease a car that a) has 70k km and b) has a not the best reliability history?
![]() 02/04/2014 at 11:47 |
|
I don't plan on having it more then 2-3 years.
Looking up reliability on the vehicle has lead me to believe it is in the "not bad" catagory.
I figured lease rates on a $28000 vehicle would be better then lease rates on a $48000 vehicle.

Yes a lease on a 28k car is going to be cheaper than a 48k car, but it might not be much cheaper than purchasing the 28k car. And it is all contingent upon a lease company agreeing to lease you that car. What is your ideal monthly budget and how much do you have available for down-payment?
![]() 02/04/2014 at 11:56 |

About $1500 down and $400/month

The last one is no playing Top Gun with your poo.
probably

Does your pee dribble out in a constant stream when you have a boner? If so I think you need to see a doctor.

You might not be able to shoot up heroin, but the sign says nothing about smoking crack.

Why do we have to turn to sit on the toilet? It's so much more efficient to just face the toilet like you're going to pee, and then squat down. Yes, you have to pull your pants around your ankles, but then you can rest your elbows on the lid and play Candy Crush while you poop.

Hmmm and you have to have a wagon? A4 Avant or E91 not appealing, both can be had for similar money.

The next vehicle has to be bigger then our sedan, but I don't want to dd a minivan/suv.
The Audi has next to zero appeal for me. And the bmw scares me for replacement part costs.

While not the fastest car of the bunch an Acura TSX sport wagon has very nice handling and a ton of cargo, can be had CPO well within your budget. The TSX has a great reliability history. You can probably lease one new still. There is also the Jetta Sportwagon but both are FWD and kinda slow. At least you can get the Jetta with 3-pedals.

Does the tsx wagon come with AWD? I do live in Canada ;)
Also, If we are going down market, I would get an outback before the jetta.

Nope both FWD....what about a Volvo XC70? They are really nice and if you can find one with the Turbo 6, really fast. From what I have heard the Volvos tend not to have the reliabiltiy problems as some of the Germans. EL_ULY is a Volvo tech and really likes the XC70 . Might be worth a look.

Volvo shares from the Ford parts bin right? I will have a look to see how many are nearby.

To an extent, but the engines and trans are unique and I think the XC70 platform is unique it is based off the S80/V70 wagon.
